City Center Extension for
New Delhi
The city center symbolises the
seat of administrative power for
the city. The City Center for New
Delhi was concieved in 1966 and
the original design included a
complex of three, buildings out of
which only a tall office tower was
built. The site is situated in the
heart of the central business
district of New Delhi and is right
across the street from "Jantar
mantar" , the famous historic
piece of architecture.
Program included: a city library,
arts gallery, performance
auditorium and office spaces.
